Also in June we introduced the new AGT3 digital gold and platinum tester. This is the Rolls Royce of testers in our GemOro AuRACLE line and is truly a leap forward in technology. The first deliveries of the AGT3 will begin this month. Besides offering increased accuracy, on its alphanumeric display it shows both the karat reading from 6-24k and the percentage of gold to 0.1%! It has a sleek and modern design, with lots of features. It is being offered at only $549.

If you have the original AGT1, the GemOro factory can update your testers software and add the new nickel plated stainless steel testing plate for a fee.

The AGT1 was enhanced with new v1.01 software and a durable nickel plated stainless steel testing plate and is now called the AGT1 PLUS. It was introduced in June and really appreciated by all that bought it. The AGT1 PLUS now provides a very fast and easy one-step calibration that locks onto 14k and then allows for consistently accurate test results. It comes with simple instructions and is considered an amazing tester by those who bought it.

The AGT2 shown by Esslinger in this video is amazing. It is totally easy to use and has a very dynamic and impressive digital or analog meter display when shown on an iPad or tablet. This is my favorite of the GemOro AuRACLE testers.

We at GemOro supply ALL of the leading jewelers supply houses around the world and honestly I am not aware of any non-gel probe testers that work anywhere as easily and accurately as our AuRACLE testers. The gel testers are considered obsolete by everyone I know. They are slow, messy and have a questionable accuracy at best.

PhoenixOpenProject · August 8, 2012 at 3:29 am

I came across someone who sells the probe testers that require gel, and he claims those are superior (“better”) than the other non-gel testers.

Is that true? Could you explain the difference and/or share your experience?

Thanks a lot bro!
